The first world-wide women's sexual wellbeing survey

What does it mean to be a woman today?
Many believe one of most fundamental aspects of being a healthy adult woman is her own sexuality.  Yet this is rarely talked about, and has never been studied on a large scale.  By taking great care to ensure anonymity, we are asking women to honestly answer many questions they might not feel comfortable talking about in public.

This project is a series of confidential, anonymous surveys for women.  The first asks a very basic question: “have you had an orgasm?”  Depending on your answer, from there it asks 5 more short questions.

Why is this important?
Surprisingly few large scale studies have been done on female sexuality and orgasm.  Many widely held public beliefs, and opinions about female sexuality appear to have come from studies decades ago.  These beliefs, both subtly and directly affect us.  This ranges from our personal perception of our bodies and ourselves, to public opinion, and ultimately public policy.

How can we base our private and public opinions around something that no one has researched on a large scale?  Were these previous studies correct? Do they apply across cultures, and world-wide?  As far as we know, this has never been looked at on a large scale.

We want women to have the option to both have, and be comfortable with being sexually healthy.  Until we truly know what that is on a large scale, it is difficult to accurately reference this with credibility.  That is why we are doing this study.

Anyway, isn't it time both women, and men really knew what it means to be a woman today?
